What counts as “this weekend” on this page?
The weekend view pulls events happening Friday through Sunday based on the date range selected in the calendar. Use the calendar arrows to move to another weekend.
How do I filter events by interest?
Use the category checkboxes on the left (Arts, Food & Drink, Family Friendly, and more). You can also use the search bar to find events by keyword, venue, or event name.
Can I switch between list and grid view?
Yes. Use the View controls above the results to toggle between Grid and List so you can browse the way you prefer.
What does “Recommended” mean in the Sort options?
“Recommended” is an automated sort intended to surface events that are a good fit for visitors and weekend planners. You can also sort by Near Me or use the map to browse by location.
How do I use “Near Me” or the map?
Choose Near Me to see events closer to your current location (your browser may ask for permission). Select Show Map to browse events visually and plan a route-friendly weekend.
Why isn’t my event showing up here?
Most often it is one of these:
- The event date is outside the selected weekend.
- The event is missing a required field (date, time, location, or description).
- The event is still in review and has not been published yet.
- The event does not meet our public event guidelines for visitors.
If you believe it should be listed, submit it using the Event Submission form and include a clear description and high-quality photo.
How do I submit an event to be considered for the calendar?
Use the Submit Your Event form and complete all required fields. Events must be public, held in Cumberland County, and relevant to out-of-town visitors.
Can I print this list or subscribe for updates?
Yes. Use the Print icon for a print-friendly view, or select RSS to subscribe and get event updates in an RSS reader.
What if an event listing has incorrect details?
Event details are provided by the organizer and may change. Always confirm times, ticketing, and venue information on the event website when available. If something looks off, let us know using the Contact options on the site.
