The Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (FACVB) is responsible for positioning the county as a destination for conventions, tournaments, and individual travel. Funded through the occupancy tax collected on paid overnight stays in the Greater Fayetteville area, The FACVB markets and promotes the region to attract visitors and support the local tourism economy. Through collaboration with community and industry partners, the FACVB works to strengthen the visitor experience and advance the travel industry across Cumberland County.
Visitors choose Cumberland County, North Carolina, for numerous reasons, including our historical attractions, outdoor recreation, engaging sporting events, delicious cuisine, and welcoming hotels. Tourism impacts Cumberland County's economy at more than $697 Million. It also generates more than 4,000 jobs and $20 Million in local taxes for the county.
