Cumberland County, NC - Readers of ConventionSouth Magazine selected the Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (FACVB) for a 2020 Readers’ Choice Award.

“ConventionSouth readers and fans have voted to decide the best meeting sites in the South, and it is no surprise to us that Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau has been selected to receive our annual Readers’ Choice Award,” said ConventionSouth Associate Publisher Ashleigh Osborne. “The value in receiving this prestigious recognition is that it comes from the United States’ top meeting professionals who hold events in the South. These planners demand the highest level of customer service and quality facilities, and they have contributed in determining that Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau indeed displays the commitment to professionalism, creativity and service that they require.”

The FACVB is among 380 CVBs, meeting facilities and hotels across the South to receive this recognition. Throughout the year, meeting professionals nominated the meeting sites they believe provide exemplary service for group events. The nominated sites are compiled into an online ballot where meeting professionals are invited to select the best of the best in the meetings industry. Since the creation of the ConventionSouth Readers’ Choice Awards in 2001, the FACVB has received this award six times. Ten North Carolina CVBs were recognized this year.

“We’re honored with this recognition,” says John Meroski, FACVB President and Chief Executive Officer.  “Our sales staff works one on one with meeting and event planners to ensure a successful event. It’s no surprise ConventionSouth recognized the level of excellence the FACVB provides.”
