Cumberland County, NC -  The Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (FACVB) recently received a four-year renewal of its Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) seal of recognition. Developed by Destinations International (DI), the industry-wide accreditation program distinguishes official destination marketing organizations committed to industry excellence.  The renewal is good for 4 years.

The accreditation program requires a destination organization to successfully comply with a multitude of mandatory and voluntary standards that span a variety of performance areas to gain this achievement. The standards cover nearly all aspects related to the management and marketing of destination organizations including governance, finance, human resources, sales, communications, destination development and research.

DMAP is an independent international accreditation body and a leader in defining quality and performance issues in destination marketing. For additional information on DMAP visit https://destinationsinternational.org/destination-marketing-accreditation-program-dmap.

“To renew, we had to re-apply for this recognition, and examine and submit current proof of working within DI’s high standards,” says John Meroski, FACVB President and CEO.  “It was a long and valuable process and we are pleased that we are compliant on all of DI’s standards.”
